Frazier Leads Lady Westerners in Tough Battle Against Clarendon
Snyder, TX – The Lady Westerners fell 3–1 (25-21, 16-25, 20-25, 19-25) Wednesday night to Clarendon College.
Western Texas was led by Aubrie Frazier, who tallied 12 kills and posted a strong .391 hitting percentage along with one block assist and 12.5 total points. Anayah Sinclair recorded a season-high 10 digs, added 9 kills, and 4 block assists for 13 total points. Savhanna Thompson also had a solid performance, notching 8 kills, 4 aces, and 7 digs to contribute 12 points. Sydney Roberts led the offense with 17 assists, while Samantha Loera added 16 digs and 2 assists. At the net, Maja Ludyga registered 5 kills, hitting .300 with one solo and two block assists.
The Lady Westerners opened the first set on a 5–0 run, setting the tone early before the Bulldogs rallied to take the set 25–21. In the second, both teams exchanged points early, but Clarendon pulled ahead 10–5 and maintained control to win 25–16.
Set three mirrored the second, with back-and-forth play until the Bulldogs surged ahead 14–8 and held on for the 25–20 win. In the final set, WTC battled closely, trailing just 10–7 midway through, but Clarendon closed strong to take the set 25–19 and secure the match victory.
The Lady Westerners will close out their season on Saturday with Sophomore Day against Amarillo College. First serve is set for 2 PM at the WTC Gymnasium.
