Snyder, TX – The Lady Westerners fell in three sets to No. 4 Odessa College on Wednesday night, dropping the match by scores of 17–25, 15–25, and 14–25.
In the opening set, WTC kept it tight early at 2–2 before Odessa found their rhythm and pulled away to take control. Set two saw the Wranglers make an early 6–0 run that set the tone, and in the third, the Lady Westerners jumped out to a 3–0 lead before Odessa responded and closed the match.
Sydney Roberts reached double-digit digs for the first time this season and the sixth time in her career, finishing with 10 to lead the defense. She also added 13 assists and 2 service aces.
Offensively, Aubrie Frazier paced WTC with 4 kills and a .182 hitting percentage, while Asli Cam chipped in 5 kills. Anayah Sinclair and Savhanna Thompson combined for 6 kills on the night.
Maja Ludyga provided a spark at the net, hitting .400 with 2 kills and adding 2 block assists. Samantha Loera delivered her 40th service ace of the season, finishing the match with 7 digs and 1 ace.
