Gainesville, TX — Aubrie Frazier hit .500 with nine kills, and Anayah Sinclair added six more as Western Texas opened the NCTC Tournament on Friday, but the Lady Westerners dropped all four of their weekend matches in straight sets against North Central Texas, Panola, Dodge City, and No. 10 Blinn.

In the opener against host North Central Texas College, Frazier paced the offense with nine kills on .500 hitting, while Sinclair added six kills and three total blocks. Setter Sydney Roberts directed the attack with 15 assists and picked up five digs.

The Lady Westerners faced Panola College in their second match, falling 0-3. Savhanna Thompson provided a spark with seven kills and eight points, while Sinclair chipped in another seven kills. Roberts contributed 10 assists and nine digs, and freshman Teodora Shukuloska added 11 assists and two service aces.

Saturday's action began against Dodge City Community College, where Western Texas again came up short in a 0-3 decision. Frazier continued her strong play with five kills, while Asli Cam added five and four block assists. Roberts tallied nine assists and five digs, and Thompson recorded four kills and an ace.

The weekend closed with a matchup against nationally-ranked No. 10 Blinn College, ending in another 0-3 defeat. Frazier again led the way, finishing with a team-high eight kills on .500 hitting. Sinclair added five kills and nine digs, while Thompson collected four and eight digs. Roberts posted 14 assists to round out the effort.

Western Texas will return to action September 12-13 at the Amarillo College Tournament in Amarillo, Texas.
