Snyder, TX – The Lady Westerners continued their strong start to the 2025 season, knocking off No. 13 Eastern Wyoming College in straight sets (25-21, 25-15, 28-26) Wednesday night at the campus gym. With the win, Western Texas College improves to 5-0, marking their best start since 2015.
Sophomore Savhanna Thompson led the way with nine kills and 10 points, while Aubrie Frazier added seven kills and a .294 hitting percentage. Setter Sydney Roberts dished out 12 assists and chipped in with an ace, while Maja Ludyga finished with four kills, two service aces, and six blocks.
Defensively, Western Texas totaled 26 digs and 22 block assists.
The Lady Westeners will now focus on the road, traveling to Brenham for the Blinn College Tournament on Friday, August 29. The Lady Westerners will open tournament play against #20 Blinn College at 11 a.m.
