WTC Track and Field Competes at NJCAA Outdoor Nationals

WTC Men’s and Women’s Track teams competed in the 2021 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Championships. South Plains College hosted the event May 11-13, 2021, in Levelland, Texas.

Highlights from the meet include:

• Maricia Spence finishing third in the heptathlon, earning All-American status
• The women’s 4 x 100m relay team finishing fourth with Maricia Spence, Chelsea Agyemang, Niesha Burgher, and Dy’Mond Wiley earning All-American honors.
• Jauavney James finishing sixth in the 400 hurdles, earning All-American status
• The women’s 4 x 400m relay team finishing 8th overall. Niesha Burgher, Maricia Spence, Latifah Pinnock, and Shadae Findley were named All-Americans.
