Lady Westerners Close Season on Sophomore Day

nyder, TX – The Western Texas College Lady Westerners wrapped up their 2025 season on Tuesday afternoon at Weaver Field, hosting #20 Ranger College in their final match of the year.

Those recognized before kickoff were: Mika Stanfield, Analie Duarte, Karmen Coronado, Coral Castaneda, Magalie De Alba, Mia Sanchez, Enlly Martin, Ahlaynah Barrientos, Emily McCright, Lesly Campos, Cayelyn Lee Nault, and Emilia Alvarez.

The Lady Westerners battled through on the pitch but fell 5–0 to the visiting Rangers. Mika Stanfield recorded four saves in 70 minutes.WTC tallied four shots on goal from Magalie De Alba, Kaitlyn Crouch, Mia Sanchez, and Mikaela Penaherrera.

Despite the result, Western Texas closed the 2025 campaign with a goals-against average of 2.00—the program's second-best defensive performance since the 2014 season.
