Snyder, TX – The Lady Westerners fell to Howard College 87–57 Monday night at the WTC Coliseum.
How We Got There:
Western Texas College got off to a solid start, holding an early 4–3 lead with seven minutes remaining in the first quarter. Howard College quickly found its rhythm, however, flew away late in the period as the Hawks closed the quarter ahead 26–13.
Howard College sustained momentum throughout the night, using efficient shooting, strong rebounding, and forced turnovers to control the game from start to finish. The Hawks extended their lead in the second quarter behind strong perimeter shooting, hitting 55 percent from the field in the period to take a commanding 53–21 advantage into halftime.
