Snyder, TX – The Lady Westerners capped off their WTC Classic on Saturday afternoon as they faced the Lady Coyotes from Weatherford College. The two teams had already met once this season in Weatherford, where the Coyotes won 84–52. This time, the Lady Westerners showed improvement but ultimately fell 79–63.
How We Got There:
A layup from Marissa Garcia at the 3:36 mark brought the score to 14–12, keeping the game tight early. However, Weatherford closed the first quarter on a surge, extending the lead and taking a 26–16 advantage into the break. The Lady Coyotes maintained control from that point forward.
Off the bench, Magreth Manawa delivered her best performance of the season, scoring a season-high 18 points to lead the Westerners.
