Big Spring, TX – Western Texas College (13-13, 5-7) men's basketball dropped a conference matchup Thursday night to Howard College, 72-55. The Westerners carried a 30-23 lead into halftime, but the second half told a different story as they were outscored 49-25 over the final 20 minutes.
Western Texas College shot 40.0 percent (20-50) from the field and knocked down 10 three-pointers. The Westerners were perfect at the free-throw line (5-for-5), but were outrebounded 46-27 and committed 14 turnovers.
Isak Homelius led the Westerners with 14 points, hitting four three-pointers and adding four assists. Zayier Dean followed with nine points on 3-of-5 shooting, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Calven Charles added six points and a team-high six rebounds, while Rayan Fadika chipped in 10 points and four rebounds off the bench, notching his 50th FG made.
