Angel “Hacha” Robles begins his second season as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s soccer programs for Western Texas College (WTC). Prior to arriving to Snyder, Robles was an assistant coach for Texas A&M International (TAMIU). Robles was also an assistant for the NPSL Midland-Odessa soccer team in the summer.
Robles played for TAMIU from 2011-15 making 56 appearances under head coach Claudio Arias. He had his best season in 2014 where he started 10 matches for the Dustdevils scoring a goal and assists in 745 minutes on the pitch. After college Robles spent 1 year playing professional soccer in Bulgaria and Ukraine.
Robles now returns to coach with his former teammate Jovany Macias, where they played together for TAMIU accomplishing a heartland conference championship. They look forward to applying the skills and knowledge they learned over the years of playing for the WTC soccer program.
The El Paso, Texas native graduated with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from TAMIU in 2016.
